Dear Members,

The executive team and I met with senior management yesterday to discuss several important issues affecting our membership, with a particular focus on the rate of pay and other benefits.

I am pleased to share today's correspondence from management, confirming that the journeyperson rate will increase from $41.50 per hour to $43.00 per hour, effective October 25, 2025.

As an executive, we are very happy to see this positive change. We also recognize that given today's economy and the specialized skills of our trade, we must continue to advocate for further increases. These increases are crucial in acknowledging our vital contribution to the construction industry.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Chris, Simon, Shawn, and all the Project Managers and management team for their willingness to engage in open conversations and receive feedback regarding our members' contributions and the challenges they face.
